Tobacco-sponsored schools hinder efforts to ban smoking in China

Officials in China are facing an uphill battle to ban smoking in a country where tobacco companies help fund schools and nearly 50% of male doctors smoke. Authorities recently banned smoking on many school campuses and instructed teachers to avoid smoking in front of students, but cigarette companies are still promoting their products to young students.
