Weeds can indicate the health of soil

Even though weeds are considered a nuisance to most gardens, eco-agriculturists say they can also determine what is wrong with soil, writes Laurie Garretson. In general, healthy soils have less weeds, whereas soils with low levels of beneficial microorganisms have weed problems. Organic gardening practices can help improve the soil.
