Are baby boomers really "the last gardeners?"

Mom's Landscaping of Shakopee, Minn., is installing outdoor living spaces instead of tending gardens in what it says is a sign of consumer demand. "Today, I might meet with a client who says he wants a pool and a pool house, a deck and an outdoor kitchen. The kinds of things the consumer is demanding are totally different. The baby boomers are the last gardeners," says Mom's Landscaping founder Jim Sweeney.
