Briggs & Stratton posts fiscal Q4 loss, looks to winter rebound

Briggs & Stratton posted a loss of $17.8 million for its fiscal fourth quarter. "Retailers we contacted cited unfavorable weather and weak economic conditions to explain the disappointing outlook," said market analyst Craig Kennison. But the company could rebound this winter amid increased demand for snow throwers and power generators, said Kris Kiser of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute.
