Dram shop liability may curb injuries among underage customers

Research suggests that dram shop liability -- a policy that holds alcohol-selling establishments accountable for injuries among intoxicated or underage customers -- can help curb alcohol-related injuries or harms. According to the data that will be published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, areas with higher dram shop liability had a median 6.4% lower rate of alcohol-related motor vehicle deaths.
