Dunkin' aims to boost "cultlike" following with westward expansion

As Dunkin' Brands embarks on an aggressive westward expansion, industry analysts wait to see whether the coffee-and-doughnut brand that's an icon on the Eastern seaboard can engender the same loyalty with Western consumers who are already fans of other brands, says analyst Christopher O'Cull. So far, stores outside the Northeast have been booking lower sales than locations in the brand's core region.
