Longtime advocate for individuals with disabilities dies

Frank Borreca, who throughout his life advocated on behalf of individuals with developmental disabilities, has died. Borreca began working with the organization called The Center in 1956, where he developed programs, and helped to build what were thought to be some of the first classrooms and residential and recreational facilities for those with disabilities. Borreca also worked in the New York City school system.
