CEOs who are also pilots tend to make markedly more ambitious and aggressive strategic decisions, a study suggests. Pilot CEOs' risk-taking behavior isn't a bad thing, though: The study found deals overseen by CEOs who fly private planes tend to be more successful than those overseen by their down-to-earth counterparts. "Their creativity and novelty-seeking characteristics lead them into deals that improve the growth prospects of their firms," study co-author Matthew Cain says.
