Cargill sees a bright future in beverages for Truvia

Cargill's stevia sweetener, Truvia has performed well in non-carbonated beverages and has made inroads into carbonated beverages with Coca-Cola's low-calorie Coca-Cola Life in Argentina, the company's first use of stevia in a flagship product. "Truvia has done very well as a tabletop sweetener, but its best days in beverages are still ahead of us. The industry is not going to know the real potential of stevia in carbonated soft drinks for another two or three years," said John Sicher, publisher of Beverage Digest.
