ConocoPhillips seeks federal approval for NPR-A drilling project

ConocoPhillips seeks to drill a well at the GMT1 site in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska and has applied for permits for the project from the Bureau of Land Management. The reserve is estimated to hold 896 million barrels of technically recoverable oil, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
