Federal judge rejects settlement on hiring-collusion suit

A federal judge has rejected as too small a proposed $324 million settlement between companies including Google and Apple and former employees who say they were unfairly barred from working for other companies under "anti-poaching" policies enforced by their employers. Judge Lucy Koh called the policies "an overarching conspiracy" against employees and accused plaintiffs' attorneys of trying to get away with an unreasonable settlement.
