Tween girl website violated privacy rules for young users

The Children's Advertising Review Unit has found that the tween-focused site Cartoon Doll Emporium violated the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act by tracking and sharing data with third parties and allowing users to share their full names with others. Cartoon Doll Emporium responded by making changes to comply with COPPA regulations.
