Comprehensive higher ed-business partnership for Philly schools

Six universities, the K12 private education company and the Franklin Institute, a renowned science education institution, will link up with the Philadelphia School District in a $1.4 million initiative to improve 16 city schools. The Franklin Institute will help design a new science and technology high school, while other partners will provide such services as volunteers, technology support and teacher training.
