Nation's longest-running desegregation lawsuit to end soon

U.S. District Judge James Brady is scheduled to hold a settlement hearing Thursday on a nearly 50-year-old Baton Rouge, La., desegregation suit. A Tulane University professor says the settlement will have little impact on the city's schools, which now are nearly 75% black.
