Groups plan largest mobilization ever for public education

A coalition of the NEA, the U.S. Hispanic Leadership Institute and other liberal groups plan to hold gatherings in homes, churches and libraries on Sept. 22 to promote support for public education and NCLB reform. Robert Borosage, co-director of the advocacy group Campaign for America's Future, said the event hopes to engage people in a discussion about the challenges schools face today.
