Buffalo to debut unique program for NPs

University at Buffalo nursing school's family nurse practitioner program soon will offer specific training to handle addictive disorders that will include training on how to deal with mental health issues. Many of these conditions could be helped if identified in a primary care situation, but they often go unnoted due to lack of training for providers, one of the school's nursing professors said.
