Little trick gives bread an upper-crust appearance

Give your bread a professional-looking dark crust and soft, light center by infusing steam into the baking process. Placing a cup of water in the oven with the bread can do the trick, but a more high-tech way is to use an oven that can be programmed to release the proper amount of steam to create a brown, gleaming crust.
