Maryland proposes stringent crane-safety regulations

Three months after a fatal crane accident in Annapolis, Maryland has proposed stringent safety regulations for crane operators. The new regulations call for daily inspections of cranes, and uniform training for all crane operators, riggers and signal people. A Maryland General Assembly committee is expected to approve the new regulations.
