DOT seeking answers in Minnesota tarmac delay:

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood says his department's general counsel has opened an investigation into last weekend's nearly 6-hour tarmac delay in Rochester, Minn. "We are investigating the incident and will do whatever we can to make sure passengers are not subjected to such situations in the future," LaHood said in a statement. Among other things, the department wants to know who was ultimately responsible for passengers' well-being -- Continental Airlines or ExpressJet, the regional carrier operating the flight on Continental's behalf. Continental says it is cooperating in the DOT investigation.
