Heart muscles improve when obese people shed weight

Heart muscles thin out and become more efficient in obese people who lose a lot of weight, either by dieting or through bariatric surgery, British researchers reported. New York bariatric surgeon Dr. Christine Ren said the data may explain why people who are obese are more at risk of a heart attack and sudden death than their numbers show.
