Sara Lee sees meat as long-term driver of growth

In May, Sara Lee announced plans to invest more than $130 million to build a sliced-meat manufacturing plant in Kansas City, Kan. The company believes long-term growth will be driven by its value-added meat brands, including Hillshire Farm, Ball Park and its newly launched Premium Deli lunch-meat line and Miller Beer bratwursts.
