Spokeswoman: JMH blood bank not affected by owner's plan

The blood bank at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Virginia will not be affected by a plan from Mountain States Health Alliance, owner of more than half of JMH, to buy blood from Marsh Regional Blood Center, hospital spokeswoman Brooke Lambert said. "[Marsh Regional] has always respected our boundaries for blood collection and we'll still be a separate entity and still need donors," Lambert said.
