FDA warns about meningitis risk associated with GSK's Lamictal

The FDA warned that GlaxoSmithKline's anti-seizure drug Lamictal might cause aseptic meningitis, an inflammation of the brain, after the agency received reports of 40 cases of the adverse effect between 1994 and 2009. The agency said it will include a warning about the risk on the drug's label.
