When planting, think location, location, location

Finding the right location is one of the most important aspects of choosing what plants to grow in a garden, writes Todd Major, a horticulturist and garden designer in California. He suggests being careful when choosing an area because plants have a limited tolerance for being placed outside of their preferred environment -- and healthy growth is more important than design, he notes.
