California commission allocates $2.2B for road projects

Road rehabilitation work in Yuba County, Calif., will proceed now that the state's transportation commission appropriated $2.2 billion in funding for that work and other highway projects. Seventeen lane miles of Highway 70 will undergo the continually reinforced concrete process, which means the paving should last for up to 40 years.
