Derivatives rules will force firms to improve data management

Financial firms will have to improve data management because of derivatives regulations in Europe and the U.S., according to a TABB Group report. "Managing vast quantities of data will present a challenge in the post-[Dodd-Frank Act] environment," wrote Kevin McPartland, director of fixed-income research at TABB.
