FINRA reportedly examines analysts' role in IPOs

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority is seeking information from investment banks regarding their securities analysts’ participation in IPO pitches to corporate clients, Wall Street sources say. A decade ago, banks agreed to bar their analysts from working on IPO solicitation, but some analysts say they've been brought back into the process of gaining IPO clients.
