Global digital media consumption grows at double-digit pace

Led by a 21.9% rise in mobile, overall use of global digital media grew 12.9% last year, according to a PQ Media report. The lion's share of media time (87.6%) is still spent with traditional media, and even that grew 1.8% on a much larger base. Gen X and baby boomers consumed the most digital media globally because of the numbers in the BRIC countries, but millennials and iGens (born after 1995) led the developed world, writes Mark Walsh.
