The health care industry generated 2,500 jobs last month, compared with the two-year average of 22,000. It was the lowest growth since July 2003, the Altarum Institute reports. While ambulatory care employment increased by 6,600, it was far lower than the two-year average of 15,600. Job growth in nursing and residential care remained flat, while hospital employment fell by 4,400 positions.
