NASCAR attracts GA to Tenn. airport

About 150 general aviation airplanes are expected to arrive at the Tri-Cities Regional Airport in Tennessee for an upcoming NASCAR event at Bristol Motor Speedway. The airport recently completed a $1.1 million upgrade of its GA terminal. "This is typically our high season," said Pam Phillips, general manager of Tri-City Aviation. "Over the long haul, we do see gradual increases that general aviation is coming back."
