O'Malia raises concerns about CFTC's policing powers

Scott O'Malia, the only Republican on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, said Monday that the agency needs to do a better job of explaining how it decides which violators it pursues. He went on to say that Congress should investigate. "I also encourage the commission to take immediate steps to reevaluate its procedures to ensure that they have legal authority and are transparent to the public," O'Malia said in a statement.
