Retirement income rule needs fine-tuning, IRI says

The Labor Department's proposed rule requiring that 401(k) plan participants be given illustrations explaining their lifetime income streams is basically good, pension industry leaders said in comments upon the rule. The Insured Retirement Institute suggested that plan sponsors provide income illustrations based upon generally accepted actuarial principles and investment theories.
