Ill. city council might permit alcohol at festivals

A liquor committee has voted to send a festival ordinance to the Galesburg, Ill., City Council. The ordinance would let registered events serve alcohol, require a $250 licensing fee, restrict hosts to one reserved night per year and require organizers to tidy up after events.
