Study: Warfarin more effective than aspirin in stroke prevention

A study involving 973 atrial fibrillation patients averaging 81 years of age found that warfarin, an anti-clotting drug, was more effective than aspirin in preventing strokes. Researchers also report that the risk of hemorrhages on warfarin is much lower than previously thought.
