Upscale fashion companies benefit from new Internet technologies

Luxury fashion brands have until now been hesitant to delve into Internet sales because it was difficult to present their products in a way that elevated them above other brands. Thanks to new online technology and increased broadband access, brands such as Christian Dior and Chanel are creating Web sites that include stylized videos, interviews with designers, behind-the-scenes looks at photo shoots and other features that appeal to upscale online shoppers.
