More students take ACT exam versus last year

The overall average ACT score dropped slightly to 21.1 out of 36, as a record 43% of this year's U.S. high school grads took the college-entrance exam, according to results released Wednesday. That is a slight dip from last year's average score of 21.2, with the number of students taking the test rising 9% this year.
