U.S., EU approve St. Jude Medical's chronic-pain device

St. Jude Medical has obtained clearance from U.S. and European regulators to market its EonC neurostimulation device, which is designed to treat patients with chronic pain. The device works by administering mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to prevent the transmission of pain signals to the brain.
