Mark Murphy of TravelPulse.com explains that research shows that travel agents are becoming increasingly influential over their clients' choices. The trend, Murphy argues, should prompt travel suppliers to reach out to those agents. "Instead of chasing the elusive consumer and trying to intercept them when they are ready to buy, it's more cost effective to reach the customer through the travel agent," he writes.
