Petco lets workers guide social strategy

When San Diego-based Petco decided to venture into social media, it turned to its tech-savvy employees for guidance. "We pulled internal knowledge," said the company's e-commerce director. "We know people want to talk to Petco about pets." Workers posted articles-- such as one about dyeing pet hair -- to the Petco Facebook page, sparking conversation and debate.
