Cardinal Health awards care-improvement grants to 40 health groups

The Cardinal Health Foundation has awarded about $1 million in grants to some 40 clinics, hospitals and health systems across 25 states to help them boost efficiency and patient care. "By improving medication and operating room safety and efficiency, health care providers can dramatically reduce health care costs and even more importantly, they can save lives," the foundation's chairperson said.
