Florida requests $250M for Amtrak's East Coast Corridor

Florida's Transportation Department has put in a request for $250 million to build out Amtrak's Florida East Coast Corridor. The grant application is in addition to the $1.1 billion Florida wants for a proposed Tampa-Orlando high-speed rail line. The federal government is expected to announce grantees in September.
