Nebraska officials propose to reinstate funding for gifted education

Nebraska's latest education-budget proposal would restore most of the funding for the state's gifted-education programs. Advocates for gifted education said the revised budget better aligns gifted programs' funding with that for other programs that serve English-language learners and students with special needs. The school board will finalize the budget proposal in September.
