Reading program in Michigan rewards students with sports tickets

A statewide reading program in Michigan uses tickets to sporting events as an incentive to get students to read. About 1,600 students are participating in the Michigan Reads! program, which is co-sponsored by the Michigan Education Association and professional sports teams in Detroit. Collectively, the students have read more than 16,000 books.
