Senate signs bill that would boost security along border

The Senate passed a bill that will add up to 1,500 immigration officials and troops along the Mexican border to increase security. President Barack Obama is expected to sign the bill. "It's my hope that the bill we're passing today will break the deadlock that has existed in Congress and will clear the path for us to finally resume bipartisan negotiations in good faith on reforming our broken immigration system," said Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y.
