Chancellor marks anniversary of Berlin Wall's construction with lessons for students

On the 52nd anniversary of the building of the Berlin Wall, German Chancellor Angela Merkel accepted an invitation to give a history lecture at Heinrich Schliemann secondary school in east Berlin. "It's quite a difference between having personal experiences and teaching facts," said Merkel, who grew up in the communist east and recounted her memories of the border closing with students.
