Regulations mandated in the Dodd-Frank Act are keeping the middle class out of the housing market by potentially raising rates and imposing stricter lending standards, says House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas. "Right now, because of the Dodd-Frank Act, Washington has more control over who can buy a home than your local bank," Hensarling said.
