Embraer pins hopes on U.S. economy for sales

Brazilian planemaker Embraer is hoping an improving U.S. economy will sharpen companies' appetites for business jets to get away from a reliance on commercial flights. "Embraer is making a call on its expectation that United States economic growth will see a rebound up the chain for people that want to buy" mid-size jets again, said Stephen Trent, analyst with Citigroup. Embraer is introducing the first such jet, the Legacy 500, in the first half of next year.
