Facebook has deal for voice-recognition developer

Facebook has a deal to acquire Mobile Technologies, a developer of voice-recognition tools, for an undisclosed sum. The move is intended to help future-proof Facebook as voice-activated browsing becomes more widespread, especially on mobile devices. "This acquisition is an investment in our long-term product road map," wrote Tom Stocky, a product-management director, on the Facebook website.
