Groupon buys mobile restaurant finder Plumfare

Groupon has purchased Plumfare, a mobile discovery application that encourages users to share photos of their restaurant meals. Terms weren't disclosed, and Groupon has had little to say about the deal. Plumfare "has some functionality that seems to overlap with what would be on [Groupon's] product road map anyway, so it probably makes sense for them," Forrester analyst Sucharita Mulpuru-Kodali said.
