Hospital plans spark trauma center debate in Ariz.

Hospitals in Arizona's southeast and West Valley are planning new trauma centers for critically ill patients, leading to debate about whether the region needs additional facilities and what level of care should be available. Chandler Regional Medical Center CEO Tim Bricker said the number of trauma centers may be adequate based on population figures but not on geographic distribution and the "overwhelming concern" is getting patients to trauma care as quickly as possible.
